What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy combines hypnosis with listening, counselling and a range
of therapeutic skills, to enable the client to effect changes they wish
to make in their lives.
During clinically induced trance the unconscious mind is particularly
receptive to suggestions that reflect the client’s desired changes. The
unconscious mind is able to re-learn or replace the undesired behaviour,
emotion or thought, with no input required by the conscious mind. As
conscious willpower has no place within hypnotherapy, the changes are
made effortlessly.
The wonderful by-product of hypnotherapy is the realisation that the
ability to change anything about ourselves, lies within us all; that we
can achieve anything we want to achieve. There is no reason to ‘put up’
with anything that has a detrimental effect on our lives – we all have
the inner resources to live life as we choose.
